Good questions, straight answers
Getting booked in
Can I actually get someone out today, or is it always a few days' wait?
Same-day is common, it comes down to how the diary's tracking and how urgent the job sounds, so the honest way to find out is simply to call and ask.
Booking through the website versus ringing directly, is one faster?
No real difference, both routes reach the same team and the same pricing, so pick whichever's more convenient for you at the time.
I don't own the property, can I still book a repair?
Depends on the scale, a minor fix is usually fine to book directly, while anything bigger typically needs the property manager looped in first.

What you're actually paying for
If more work turns up mid-job than what was quoted, what happens?
Nothing extra gets touched without a separate number agreed first, whatever you originally signed off on stays exactly as quoted regardless.
Does an unrelated fault found mid-job just get added to what I'm already paying?
Never without your say-so, a genuinely separate issue is priced on its own and only proceeds once you've actually agreed to that number.
The water bill's higher than usual and nothing obvious looks wrong, worth a call?
Definitely, a bill that's crept up for no clear reason is often the earliest sign of a leak somewhere out of sight, and flagging it early keeps things simple.

The warranty, explained properly
Parts versus labour, what does the Lifetime Labour Warranty actually cover?
Just the labour, a fitted part is covered by whatever term the manufacturer sets, though our labour cover itself never expires.
If the same fault comes back later, is round two billed separately?
Not if we caused it originally, that's the entire point of the warranty, and there's never a second invoice for our own mistake.

Getting ready for the visit
For a routine repair here, is council sign-off usually needed?
Rarely for a straightforward swap, the main exception being anything that shifts a drainage line, and that gets pointed out plainly wherever it's relevant.
Is there anything worth doing before the plumber turns up?
Not much, though knowing roughly where your water meter sits helps, and a clear description of the fault on the phone does most of the groundwork already.
For work confined entirely to the yard, do I need to be home?
Generally not, as long as the work area is reachable, and we'll always call first if there's ever a genuine need to come inside.

Specific to this part of the Shire
Does living further from the main road change how quickly you can get here?
No, the same response standard applies across the whole area we cover, whether that's a street near the shops or one of the quieter roads further out.
Original 1980s house versus a recent renovation, does the age alone tell you what's likely wrong?
It's a useful clue but never the full story, a properly maintained original can easily outlast a rushed recent job, so a proper look on site always settles it.

One more worth knowing
Getting wildly different quotes from two plumbers for what sounds like the same job, is that normal?
More common than people expect, and it usually comes down to one quote being given sight unseen, which is exactly why ours only ever follow an actual inspection.
Still have a question?
Ring (02) 9072 0517 and you'll reach a licensed plumber directly, no form to fill in first. Looking at the job costs nothing, the price is confirmed on paper before any work starts, and everything we complete carries a lifetime guarantee.
